Eye Screening Scheme
(BVA/KC/ISDS) 

Waiting List

The BVA/KC/ISDS Eye Scheme is a joint scheme between the British Veterinary Association (BVA), the Kennel Club (KC) and the International Sheepdog Society (ISDS).

 

Eye Screening is open to all breeds.

 

Please complete the form below to be added to the waiting list, once I have received your completed form/s, I shall acknowledge receipt so please keep an eye on your inbox as well as your junk folder.  If you don’t receive receipt within a couple of days of submitting your form, please email me at: rameslielabradors@outlook.com with a subject heading of “Eye Screening”.

 

Once a date has been arranged, you will be contacted with a time and once this appointment time has been confirmed, a non-refundable deposit of £30.00 per dog will be required to secure your booking.

 

The remaining balance will then be required in advance of the day via bank transfer.

 

If a receipt is required, please advise at the time of confirming your booking so we can have this ready for you to collect 
at your appointment.

 

Bank details will be provided via email.

 

NB. We will also require you to email: 

(rameslielabradors@outlook.com) a copy of your KC Certificate as well as bringing it with you to your appointment.

Cancellation Policy

All deposits are non-refundable due to the pre-prepared paperwork and the time involved to enable these clinics to take place.

 

If you are no longer able to attend your appointment, please notify us of the need to cancel as soon as possible.  If you cancel at least 28 working days prior to your appointment and have already paid in full, you will receive a refund less the deposit.

 

If you cancel less than 28 workings days before the event you will not be entitled to a refund.

 

No refund can be issued for non-attendance.

 

You MUST bring with you your KC registration certificate (the green A5 certificate NOT the pedigree tree) or ISDS registration certificate.

 

For the safety of the panellist, volunteers and other owners and dogs, it is your responsibility to ensure your dog is of amenable temperament to receive eye drops and be restrained by yourself for the eye examination. 

 

Rude, violent, disrespectful or confrontational behaviour will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave immediately with no refund.

Arrival Times

Routine Eye Test – Arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment.
Gonioscopy – Arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment.

Primary Open-Angle Glaucoma – Arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment.
Litter Screening – Arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment.

Costs (Includes venue hire)

Routine Eye Test

£80.00 - Per dog
£66.00 – Group testing for club/breeder of 25 or more

Gonioscopy Eye Test

£80.00 Per dog

Primary Open-Angle Glaucoma

£80.00 Per dog

Litter Screening (5 to 12 weeks)

£80.00 - 1st Puppy
£17.00 - Per puppy thereafter

It is mandatory for puppies under the Eye Scheme to be microchipped prior to examination.
